For Sale…

The good news is that have linked up with Fine Arts America to sell prints of my Art. It is not the most profitable solution but it is easier for you and me. You get to choose size, paper & even the frame if you want. They do all the work. The shipping, packing, framing and the online transaction. All I have to do is make the Art and maintain the webpage they provide for free. That is the other good news, all this is free for me. Free is good. I originally planned to do this all myself, but the bad news that came along 2 weeks ago has changed that.

The Bad news is that the house my Studio is in is going up for sale. I have about 90 days to be ready to move. So, once again “the future is uncertain and the end is always near” as Jim Morrison of The Doors said. It was a shock and surprise that stopped my drawing in its tracks. I have started drawing again regardless. I have a big drawing on my table and finishing it will give me the diversion I need from the dynamic times ahead. Right now it is all I can do besides packing, sorting and moving. I was kind of forced to join an online art dealer because I just cant be shipping doing all that stuff. None of this matters unless people buy my Art. Here is the link to my Profile on Fine Arts America and please, please buy something. It all goes to help me find a new Studio.

What That Guy Said…

Bob is a regular visitor at Studio De Angelo. We get a 24 hour a Day Bob Ross Channel on over the WiFi. While I am not a painter, his talents and lessons are applicable to many art forms. It would be remiss to not admit being jealous of how fast he works. Before he took over the show “The Joy Of Painting” it was hosted by a wonderful Artist named Bill Alexander. Bob was his assistant. Click here to check him out, he is on now…

Edward Hopper…

Lighthouse at Two Lights by Edward Hopper. 1929 The Lighthouse at Two Lights depicts the silhouette of a lighthouse against the blue sky. The painting is set in the rocky hills of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Hopper often spent his summers in Maine as an escape from New York.

Just in case anyone has not noticed, I am highly influenced by the Art of Edward Hopper. I spent lots of time at The Metropolitan Museum in NYC viewing his work, where this particular painting hangs today. The solitude along with the distinct shadow and light treatments in his paintings just reaches out to my soul. I try to capture this in my photographs and drawings.

Wikipedia says… Edward Hopper was an American realist painter and printmaker. While he is widely known for his oil paintings, he was equally proficient as a watercolorist and printmaker in etching. Wikipedia. Check out his stuff and I hope my Art is worthy of his Influence.

Happy Birthday Johnny Cash…

Happy Birthday to the “Man In Black”, Johnny Cash. This image was taken at Folsom Prison, but he never served time there. He performed a historic concert there however and this photo was taken by the guards as a joke. They even put the band-aid on him to make it look like he was roughed up. That concert also became an epic album. Prints are now available, Enjoy…
